It was perhaps the evening of 15th July 1965, when I with the group of 50 school going girls passed by a group of people (perhaps the followers) sitting around a Dhoti Dhaari Babaji near the banks of Beas. Me and the girls also sat at the banks. The girls while talking were throwing stones in the river just for fun when Babaji stood up and asked to stop that since their throwing of the stomes might hurt life in the river. I was amazed with this gesture of Babaji.
Then Baba called me and made me sit with him and offered a cup of tea. I sat with Baba while the group of the girls went ahead under the command of Late Sh. KC Sardana. Baba asked me what for we were there, to which I replied we are on camping. He asked me what is the goal of my life - I ignorantly said Camping is my life. He looked at me and smiled. Those eyes were unforgettable. I finished my tea and took his leave - i still dont know what happed to me - it was something divine - I bowed and touched his feet.
He was full of affection and asked me to add one prayer every morning of my camp life and blessed me..
This was a short meeting which blurred with time when one day in 1975, again on the usual camp routine I wnet to the same place - I saw that place was blessed with Maa Vaishnu Devi temple and Baba in white Kurta and Pajama was serving people in Bhandara. He saw me and recognized. He greeted me as if we knew each other from the ages. This gesture of his bought me more close to him. Since that day I became the true follower of Mahadevi Tirth.
After Baba (Swamiji), Geeta Maa is looking after the temple activities. Till this date I am associated with Temple and their Nishkaam Karma Seva activities.
Swamji is not with us, however his surmons are with us.
